Creatures of the Night

Bring your trick or treat bag and head over to the Garfield Park Conservatory for their Creatures of the Night Halloween treat! Sing and dance along to live music, dress in costume for the Monster Mash Costume Bash, and meet live critters in the tropical plant collection. Collect sweets and learn fun facts about unique relationships between animals and plants as you venture throughout the conservatory. You can also create spooky crafts and explore a sensory table. Join the National Museum of Mexican Art for their Día de Los Muertos celebration! Día de Los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that honors the lives of those who have passed on. Explore the transformed museum and Harrison Park as it’s turned into a beautiful space for the community to remember our departed loved ones. During the celebration, guests can enjoy ofrenda, altar demonstrations, live music, face painting, art activities, and Pan de Muerto, traditional Day of the Dead bread.

22nd North Halsted Halloween Parade & Costume Contest

When: Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 7:30 pm Parade Kick off at Halsted & Belmont

The parade begins at Halsted Street and Belmont Avenue and proceeds to Brompton Ave.

This thrilling event is one of Chicago's largest Halloween celebrations. s parade draws thousands of spectators of all ages. Parade participants dress in their best spine-chilling costumes in the hope of winning prizes and bragging rights. The North Halsted Halloween Parade has been ranked as one of the “10 Best Halloween Celebrations in the U.S.” by Fodor’s Travel Guide. For the seventh year, the Chicago Thriller flash mob will perform a dance routine from the iconic Michael Jackson music video, Thriller.

Lincoln Park Zoo Spooky Zoo Spectacular

No tricks, just treats! Join The 606 for a spooktacular time this Halloween. Trick-or-treat with your friends, family, werewolves, and zombies all along the Bloomingdale Trail. There are 12 access points along the Bloomingdale Trail, approximately every quarter-mile. There are 17 accessible ramps throughout the 606.

Clark Street Spooktacular 2018


When: Sunday, October 28th, 2018 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Where: Clark Street from Diversey to Armitage and Diversey from Orchard to Lakeview.

Venture through Lincoln Park's annual Clark Street Spooktacular Halloween extravaganza! Participating businesses welcome trick-or-treaters with sweets and entertainment. There will be plenty of festivities for the entire family. Enjoy trick-or-treating, stilt walkers, magicians, and jugglers. A costume contest will be held at HopCat (2577 N. Clark) from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Mummies Night

Take a spin at the ancient Egyptian game many mummies have played – Senet. Pay a visit to King Tut’s monumental 17-foot-tall statue or the 40-ton Assyrian winged bull.
