Did you bike before working at Divvy?
Before Divvy I rode for fun with my friends trying new foods, and taking in the sights and exploring the city.
What is one thing you’ve learned about biking or bike share since working at Divvy?
One thing I've learned working in bike share is how bike friendly Chicago is. I love the fact that cyclists and drivers alike share the road.
What are your biggest concerns while biking? How do you mitigate them?
My biggest concern about biking is being not being seen by other motorists on the road. I like to make sure I have my helmet, proper reflectors on my bike/high visibility clothing. I also like to use proper hand signals so that motorists know what I intend to do.
What is your favorite biking adventure story?
My favorite memory is when I went on my first date with my boyfriend in 2014. We rode from Roosevelt to Navy Pier and we are still together to this day.
Where do you like to ride?
My favorite area to cycle in is near the Museum campus, along the lakefront headed south. There are so many beautiful sights to see and I seize every opportunity to see my beautiful city.
